Plymouth Science Park Ltd provides high-quality office space and laboratory facilities across a number of buildings on the science park for small and medium-sized companies on a flexible rental basis.
Purpose of job
To contribute to the successful operation of PSP and achievement of objectives set by the Business Development Manager, Chief Executive Officer and the Board.
Duties are varied and include:
Sales & marketing
- Dealing with enquiries, show rounds, direct sales, negotiations and conversion
- Manage and contribute to the maintenance and development of the website, marketing collateral and social media channels
- Manage newsletter creation and distribution
- Close working relationship with communications agency and partner organisations
- Deliver presentations and handle tour visits
- Market research and ideas generation
Business support and networking
- Exhibition, dinners, networking management and attendance
- Planning social and business networking events
Customer relations
- CRM database & relationship management
- Co-ordinate Induction and Exit Interviews with residents
- Encouraging and organising PR from residents
- Alumni database & relationship management
Administration
- Updating CRM system as necessary
- Prepare & issue documentation for rental of units
- Checklist completion for moves and changes
- Liaising with accounts regarding invoicing and debtors
- Manage and maintain ID records for tenants
As an integral part of the team act as an ambassador for PSP and any other duties to meet the changing needs and demands of the business
Ideal Candidate
- Capable of converting sales successfully, being a credible, decisive yet flexible negotiator and strong decision making skills
- Able to build customer relationships, credible networker, ability to manage events
- Accurate and creative communicator, both verbally and written
- Ability to work flexibly as the post demands, prioritise to meet deadlines, proven admin and IT skills (including CRM, Microsoft Office apps, web, social media)
- Enterprising, proactive aptitude, able to use own initiative enthusiastically and influence company culture positively
- An organised administrator, able to work to tight deadlines both in a team environment and independently
Hours: Monday – Friday 9.00am-5.00pm (Flexibility to work additional hours as required)
Salary: up to £20,000pa plus benefits
