As a part of their international strategy, Genese UK has relocated its global office to Plymouth Science Park. According to Genese Solution’s website, the Park “is a world-class infrastructure & centre of excellence for ground-breaking research & laboratory innovation. It houses a vibrant and thriving community of global innovators, international businesses, startups, academics and is a hub for inspirational tech advancements. This move will enable us to develop international connections supporting the company’s ambitious growth plans.”

Genese Solution have also announced that they have secured NPR 55 million (around £330,000) investment from Business Oxygen Pvt. Ltd. for their Nepal operations.

Busness Oxygen Private Limited (BO2) is a part of the IFC’s Global SME Ventures initiative with investments from the IFC of the World Bank Group, Climate Investment Funds (PPCR) and FCDO. The fund is managed by WLC Ventures Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of White Lotus Centre Pvt. Ltd.

This investment will be utilized for the strategic ramp-up of product/service portfolio, upgrade skill levels, accelerate automation and Digital Transformation ecosystem in Nepal.

Further, in a strategic move, the company has made a significant change in their leadership with the appointment of Mr Prasanna Pokhrel as the new CEO for Nepal. Mr Pokhrel is an accomplished leader in the corporate field, a six sigma black belt & lean practitioner, has over two decades of experience in the IT/ITES sector across multiple verticals in global players such as IBM & EXL as well as leading Vianet’s meteoric growth as a CEO in Nepal.

Genese Solution is also creating important partnerships, as their independent wing Genese Cloud Academy (GCA) along with UKaid Skills for Employment Programme(सीप) has partnered with the Institute of Engineering (IoE) for launching Amazon Academy.  With this partnership, IOE will be instituting the AWS cloud computing modules as part of the academics, for the first time in Nepal. This will enable them to meet industry demands and also strengthen the job readiness for  Nepal and the international IT industry.
