Plymouth Science Park is delighted to welcome Cardiff-based technology support company Flotek to the Park, following their recent growth.
Flotek is an IT and comms service provider delivering SMEs with trusted innovative and cost-effective cloud technology. Founded by a trio of experienced entrepreneurs, the group supports SMEs across the South West and Wales with transformative solutions and a local, dedicated customer service presence.
The move to Plymouth Science Park follows Flotek’s acquisition of trusted technology and IT support service MazingTree, based in Plymouth, as the group develops its presence in the South West, in addition to their Wales base.
Jay Ball, CEO of Flotek, said: “We’re excited to be able to serve our existing clients in this region even more efficiently, as well as establish new relationships with Plymouth businesses seeking a strategic local partner. We will continue to support SMEs with their IT and comms to help them scale up and reach the next level of operation, while pursuing our own growth opportunities.”
“Plymouth Science Park is the perfect location for us to unlock the next step of our ambitious growth journey, and we’re looking forward to joining the Park’s community of like-minded tech entrepreneurs and innovators.”
CEO Jay Ball, an entrepreneurial business leader and advisor, has over a decade of experience leading and transforming businesses in the digital sector. In 2018, Jay was recognised as one of the ‘35 under 35’ Welsh business leaders by WalesOnline.
Ian McFadzen, CEO of Plymouth Science Park, commented: “We’re looking forward to welcoming Flotek to our thriving community of technology organisations. Plymouth Science Park is a fantastic place for growth-focussed companies in the tech sector, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for them.”
